New hybrid roller coaster Untamed at Walibi Holland opened today with more than 500 national and international guests in attendance.
The opening was accompanied by impressive fireworks and entertainment, after which all guests made their first ride on the record-breaking coaster.
Untamed is built on the wooden structure of its predecessor, Robin Hood.
The new ride has a steel track, so in combination with the wood, it carries the 'hybrid roller coaster' label. The construction has made it possible to create a completely different course layout.
Rocky Mountain Construction has again surpassed itself, in addition to being the world's first hybrid roller coaster with 5 inversions it is also the first hybrid roller coaster in Europe.
