Walibi Rhône-Alpes will open a new Festival City area in the theme park this year, featuring 3 new Zamperla attractions; a Vertical Swing, Samba Balloon and Rockin' Tug.

The new Festival City area is inspired by distant and exotic countries, with bright colours and lively music. The new Vertical Swing ride will be the first of its kind in a French theme park.

Efteling 2020

Efteling has had plans to expand for some time, and this extension is described in the draft zoning plan as 'World of the Efteling 2030'. This states, among other things, that Efteling will eventually expand with 8 hectares on the eastern side of the theme park.

This whole plan has to be established this summer, but the Efteling wants to accelerate one part of the plan. So that they can get started with the first part (about 3 hectares) of the new area and open a new attraction in 2020.

Toverland becomes an impressive one-and-a-half times bigger this year. On Saturday 7 July 2018 the park will open the new land of Avalon and a new entrance area called Port Laguna.

Magic is the central theme here: with a magic wand visitors will able to practice magic spells. Via Magia, the boulevard of Port Laguna, then leads the visitors to the other areas of the theme park.

Heide Park has announced the first and only Peppa Pig Land in Germany. Based on the popular animated series Peppa Pig (Peppa Wutz), the new area expands Heide Park's existing family offerings and offers preschoolers a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the wonderful world of Peppa and her friends.

A total of four exciting attractions are part of the new Peppa Pig Land: families explore Peppa's house, ride six exciting scenes on George's dinosaurs, travel by train with Grandpa Pig or experience an exciting boat ride with Peppa and her friends. 

After successfully launching the award-winning roller coaster Helix in 2014, Liseberg this year invests in the biggest and most exciting roller coaster so far: Valkyria.

Valkyria will be the highest and longest dive coaster in Europe and is to be manufactured by the Swiss roller coaster maker Bolliger & Mabillard. This is the first time Liseberg has invested in an attraction from the company, which has a reputation as a creator of some of the world’s best roller coasters.
