Gardaland Resort has officially unveiled its latest and most ambitious attraction to date: Animal Treasure Island, a ground-breaking water-based dark ride that marks a bold new chapter for the beloved Italian theme park.
Now open to the public, the ride represents a significant milestone for both Gardaland and Merlin Entertainments, serving as the worldwide debut of a brand-new intellectual property developed by Merlin Magic Making.
With an investment of approximately €10 million, Animal Treasure Island is the first attraction of its kind within the Merlin Entertainments group, blending immersive storytelling with cutting-edge technology across an expansive 6,000-square-metre show building.

Efteling, the fairytale theme park in the Netherlands, has officially announced the addition of a brand-new family attraction set to open in summer 2026.
The new ride, located beside the popular dive coaster Baron 1898, will feature a thrilling free fall experience for families, to immerse younger guests in the same rich, atmospheric theming.
Construction on the new attraction is scheduled to begin after the 2025 summer season.

Mirabilandia, Italy’s largest amusement park, has unveiled its new €20 million Nickelodeon Land, which officially opens to the public today.
In partnership with Paramount, this brand-new themed area brings all the beloved characters of Nickelodeon to life in an immersive 25,000-square-metre world—the first of its kind in an Italian theme park.
A special launch event held on April 16 treated 40 lucky season pass holders and select guests to an exclusive sneak peek filled with live shows, surprises, and meet-and-greet moments with fan-favourite characters like SpongeBob SquarePants, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora the Explorer, and the heroic pups of PAW Patrol.

Fantasiana has officially launched its latest star attraction, Helios, a state-of-the-art roller coaster that promises to redefine thrill-seeking in Austria.
Developed by the renowned manufacturer Mack Rides, the addition of Helios is the park's most ambitious project to date. It is the second installation of the Stryker Coaster model worldwide, following Voltron Nevera at Europa-Park last year.
The highly-themed ride opened to the public on April 12, 2025.

Today, Disneyland Paris celebrates its 33rd anniversary! To mark the occasion, the “place where dreams come true” unveiled never-before-seen images and new details about its unprecedented transformation.
The resort’s second park – which will be renamed Disney Adventure World when the new Frozen-themed area opens in 2026 – is undergoing a major expansion and embracing a fresh creative vision. It's set to usher in its next phase on May 15th with the opening of World Premiere, the gateway to the existing and future immersive worlds of the park.
The park will also soon embark on the construction of an all-new family attraction inspired by the Pixar Animation Studios' movie Up, in addition to creating an immersive world themed around Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film The Lion King. It's not yet confirmed when these new attractions will open.
