Europa-Park in Germany has revealed a raft of new additions to the theme park and resort for 2019, including both rides and attractions, as well as a previously announced hotel and water park.
During their annual press conference, that takes place at the start of each season, Michael Mack and Thomas Mack gave an insight into what to look forward to this year.
Opening dates for several developments were also confirmed, with the most anticipated being the re-opening of the Scandinavian themed area.

Popcorn Revenge, the world's first Erratic Ride by Alterface, is now open at Walibi Belgium.
Alterface’s recently launched Erratic Ride is the first non-linear mixed-media ride ever with dynamic scene changing, whereby players can determine the sequence depending on their ranking and preferences.
Popcorn Revenge is part of the new Karma World area at Walibi Belgium, inspired by India's Bollywood movie industry.

The new Year of Magic season at Gardaland has begun, a whole year dedicated to the world of magic; with additions to the park such as the Enchanted Forest, Sequoia Magic Loop and the Magic Elements show.
On the 31st May the Gardaland Magic Hotel will open, a new and fully themed 4-star hotel dedicated to magic.

Europe's first ever Sesame Street dark ride, Street Mission, will open at PortAventura on 6th April 2019.
The popular theme park will debut a new attraction suitable for all family members, a Sesame Street themed dark ride located in SesamoAventura.
It will feature a 10 minute pre-show and a ride experience that lasts almost 6 minutes. Feel like a real detective as Grover takes you on an adventure full of challenges... but will you be able to help Grover solve his secret mission?

In November, Liseberg announced that Kaninlandet (the Rabbit Land) – Liseberg’s children’s area – would be expanded in 2020. Today, Liseberg proudly presents Underland – the underground world of the rabbits – a major new family dark ride, as part of this expansion.
The new dark ride will take guests underground to experience the rabbits’ secret world, and will be the largest investment for families since Liseberg built the Rabbit Land in 2013.

The Walking Dead Experience, the live action horror attraction at Parque de Atracciones Madrid, returns with two new terrifying scenes only suitable for the most intrepid visitors.
Experience a new level of terror through a hellish oven with special effects where an atmosphere and ambience of maximum tension will be created.
Another new scene is the school bus, through which the zombies of the popular TV series will roam and appear.

Heide Park has revealed the giant creature that will form the centrepiece of their wooden coaster. Colossos: Battle of the Giants will be a fight between wood and fire.
Last year Heide Park published the new logo of Europe's tallest and fastest wooden coaster Colossos. The elements and colours of the logo as well as the title 'Battle of the Giants' promised a new theme.
The ride will open in 2019.
